About the Role
Argyle Motor Lodge is seeking a reliable, motivated, and customer-focused Housekeeper to join our friendly team. This role is essential to ensuring our guests enjoy a clean, comfortable, and welcoming stay.
We are looking for someone with strong attention to detail, a positive attitude, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of presentation across guest rooms and shared spaces. You will work closely with housekeeping and reception teams to support smooth operations, guest satisfaction, and the overall reputation of the Lodge.
This is a casual position, with flexible hours available across weekdays, weekends, and peak periods.
Key Focus Areas
- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness for all guest rooms, including bed making, bathroom cleaning, vacuuming, dusting, and restocking amenities.
- Clean and maintain public areas such as hallways, stairwells, restrooms, and shared spaces.
- Support laundry operations by organising, storing, and rotating linens and towels.
- Provide friendly, professional customer service when interacting with guests and responding to requests.
- Identify and report maintenance issues, safety concerns, or damaged items to the Housekeeping Supervisor.
- Follow all workplace health and safety procedures, including correct use of cleaning products and equipment.
- Assist with housekeeping supplies by reporting stock levels and ensuring efficient use of materials.
- Communicate effectively with housekeeping and reception staff to support guest needs and smooth daily operations.
- Ensure compliance with child safeguarding standards and mandatory reporting processes.

Essential Requirements
- Strong attention to detail and pride in providing a clean, well-presented environment.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and a friendly, guest-oriented approach.
- Physical capability to carry out cleaning tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
- Understanding of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and safety procedures (or willingness to learn).
- Current Working with Vulnerable People Registration (employment category).
- A National Police Check issued within the last six months.
