Job Description

About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and proactive HR Officer to play a key role in the delivery of effective Human Resources across The Friends’ School. This position is a maximum term, part-time position and will commence as soon as possible until the 2nd October 2026. 

Reporting to the Human Resource Manager, the Human Resources Officer will be responsible for providing coordination and administrative support across recruitment, onboarding and employee lifecycle processes. The role contributes to a positive experience for candidates and staff. A full outline of the responsibilities is outlined in the Position Description

The successful applicant will show experience and understanding of the following areas:

  • Demonstrated experience in an administrative or coordination role. 
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. 
  • High level accuracy and attention to detail. 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships. 
  • Experience using HR information systems or databases or the ability to quickly learn new platforms (experience with ELMO is desirable). 
  • A proactive, service-oriented approach and willingness to support team priorities.
  • Qualifications in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field are desirable.
